A butterfly perched on my windowsill
Its colors both dazzling and bright
Aware of the way this little
creature withstood
The darkness, of a long cold winters night
Secure in the knowledge and blessing
I must never despair

He promised to always be there
As I sit here in the shining sun
My souls colors both dazzling and bright
Knowing with Him standing beside me
I can withstand the darkness, of a long cold
winters night
I read Gods Word, how it blesses me
Every time I am blessed with another view
His Word speaks to my heart with passion
With more blessing and love than I ever knew
I read Gods Word and it deeply touches me
It has become the breath of air I need to survive
I must share this message with a dying world
Of salvation found in Gods word that is alive.
I kept coming to the well
Ever drinking yet always weak
Till You impressed upon my heart
Living water, I needed to seek
Now I kneel at the well
Praise You Lord, my thirst quenched
Your grace more than amazing
In Your living water I am drenched.
Yes I too was once lost
On this earth dead in my sin
Focused on things of this world
Never giving out always taking in
The Savior called, I was begotten again
Through His abundant mercy I live
Joyful with a new found living hope
Only the resurrection of Christ can give.
I heard the voice of God today
as I went for a little walk
He spoke softly, and requested
we have a little talk
He told me of the many times I prayed,
only when things looked dim
Though He felt hurt, He still listened,
to what I asked of Him
His voice penetrated my heart,
I asked Him to teach me to pray
I felt His smile as He answered,
”There is not any set thing to say”
, I realized what He was saying,
as we continued our little walk
All this time, I was really praying,
As my Friend and I were having this little talk
