I have watched you rush to get things done
All that seems so important to you
Watched you reach out in desperation
For all the wrong things to see you through
Yes there are times you stop to pray
You ask for help in what to do
Then rush off blindly in haste
Not waiting for what I answered you
The solution to all your problems
Is indeed part of My will
Seek Me in quiet solitude
To listen just be still.
Search my heart Lord ,let me know what is right
Help me press on, and not give up the fight
Help me to learn, the things I must know
Show me the path, the way I should go
Search my heart Lord, take all I have to give
Help me follow Your example, in the way I should live
Teach me Your will, help me follow it through
Let others when they look at me, see only You.
I pray I bring You glory
As I go about my day
Speaking and living the Gospel
In the way I walk, in what I say
And as I close my eyes in reflection
Before I sleep when my day is through
I pray by Your grace I will awaken
Less of me, so much more of You…
My day begins I say a prayer
Rise up, put my feet to the floor
Try to get ready for what lay ahead
Pray once again as I walk out the door
The world the same as yesterday
Most others putting themsrlves first
Not seeing or caring for souls
Dying from spiritual hunger and thirst
Ever praying to see others through Your eyes
To know Your will and follow it through
I shudder to think what my life would be
If my days weren’t filled with thoughts of You.
I kneel in quiet solitude
I call Your Name in prayer
Begin to tremble in awe and adoration
When I sense that You are there
I know You are with me always
Such peace and comfort to know You care
But oh the joy at just that moment
When I sense that You are there.
