We were all but lost sheep wandering aimlessly
Lost in a world of evil and sin
The meadow dark and lonely
Waiting helplessly to be called in
From beyond the darkness a ray of light
The cross, redemption for us all
Our eyes fixed upon the Savior
Following the Shepherds call.

Forever There
Mired in depression
Some gloom and despair
Mental and physical burden
Almost too much to bear
In his minds eye a vision
His Savior on bended knee
Praying to the Father
“Let this cup pass over me”
What He uttered next, the reason
In glory the battle was won
For He said “not mine Father
But Your will be done”
The comparison to the burdens
Brought on both guilt and shame
For Jesus accepted all the burden
Took on all the blame
Sensing God had spoken to him
Chasing away all gloom and despair
He embraced his salvation
And the joy forever there.
Foot Of The Cross
Oh the joy
you can experience
When you give your life
to the Lord
You give up the shackles
of this world
Look toward Heaven
where your treasures they are stored
Oh the joy
you can experience
When His Spirit
makes you new
You lay your sins
at the foot of the cross
And His grace
showers down upon you.
Follow You
Thank You for Your Son who died in sacrifice
He took on my sins and made me free
The miracle of salvation
I once was blind but now I see
Thank You for Your Living Word
Its direction in what I do and say
Thank You for Your Holy Spirit
Who guides my path each day
Thanking You Lord with mere words
Falls far short in what I long to do
Love and praise will fill my heart
As I live to follow You.
Faith Restored
In that moment of doubt
I ask forgiveness for my humanity
My heart knows so well
Some times my mind does not see
I realize my need
Is not in worldly things
Everything for good provided
By the King of Kings
No longer distracted
Faith wonderfully restored
On the straight and narrow
Hand in hand with the Lord
Now when in days ahead in this world
The sea of life may roll and toss
My faith will be my anchor
With my eyes fixed on the cross.
