Living his life was as it should be
One day at a time, as good as he could
Making a living , working hard
Doing everything he thought he should
The years flew by so very fast
As age crept slowly across his face
The comfort of his existence left him
He suddenly felt out of place
God was reaching out to him
It was time for his life to be rearranged
Crying out I am ready Lord
Suddenly His heart was changed
Heart filled with joy He praised God
For the gift He had placed in his life
For all those years God was caring for him
By blessing him with a Godly wife.

I read God’s Word how It blesses me
Every time blessed with another view
His Word speaks to my heart with passion
With more wisdom and love than I ever knew
I read God’s Word it deeply touches me
It has become the breath I need to survive
Compelled to share the glorious message
Of salvation found in God’s Word that is alive.

I stood at the foot of the mountain
In awe of the rugged beauty it possessed
Above it the white clouds, deep blue sky
Immediately I felt blessed
I thought of the mighty ocean
The thick forest so green
The many birds that fill the sky
A rainbow, the most beautiful colors I’ve ever seen
The many wonders that fill this world
So easy to love and understand
None of these things possible
Without the touch of Gods hand

So much time walking in circles
Thinking I was walking straight ahead
Living a life that seemed right for me
Yet inside spiritually dead
Making decisions I thought only I should make
Knowing when to stop or when to begin
Living a life that seemed right for me
Yet really deep in the clutches of sin
Suddenly one day I realized my soul was thirsty
The one who provides living water filled my cup
Praise Him for that defining moment in my life
I was saved that day when God showed up.

To walk in the footsteps
Guided by the Lord
Follow the example
That must not be ignored
To be sensitive to His Spirit
In all we say and do
Know the desire of the Lord
At once follow it through
Perfect obedience what we long for
Thus should be our life story
To live a life for Christ
Give God all the glory.
