Praise You that I did
For so long I avoided You
Yet You saw me where I hid

Countless times I searched
Looking for just the right word
Or tried to remember
A voice that I heard
Times I tried to find words
For the beauty that I saw
Or to express how I feel
About the things I adore
When suddenly my heart and soul
Knew just where they belong
Together they sing out Your Name
For You are the song.

Your tender mercies overwhelming
Your kindness more than I can bear
Your love takes my breath away
I am amazed how much You care

I pray these gifts emanate from my heart
On my knees Lord I humbly pray
To be more like my Lord and Savior
And love others the very same way.
