Morning light takes over the darkness
The new beginning of a day
Praise be to my God
I at once begin to pray
Last night before I closed my eyes
I prayed Lord forgive me of my sin
Of the many times I enjoy my life
And forget to let You in
I prayed to be mindful of everything
With love You so eagerly give
The moon, the stars, the sunrise
Your saving grace that I could live
Morning light takes over the darkness
Where it comes from, I am aware
This new day a gift to me that shows
With love how much You care.

When I awake and open my eyes
I at once think of You
I ask You be with me this day
In everything I do
Lord I need Your strength
For without You I am so weak
May Your Spirit guide me
In what I choose to speak
When I look at others
May I see them through Your eyes
Love them all fervently
Fully, deeply, no compromise
Before I go, always pause
Ever mindful to pray
Thank You Lord, by Your grace
Given another beautiful day.

My God I am amazed
How You never let me down
How You plucked me from the waters
Before I could drown
The way You picked me up
Brushed me off, stayed with me on my way
How You gladly listened
When I began to pray
You provided my every need
You, not I knew them all
And how Your spirit nudged me
When my walk began to stall
The way You looked upon this lowly sinner
Saw this wicked heart and was unfazed
How You took me in Your arms with love
My God I am amazed.

Praise to the Wonderful Maker
Creator of all things
The almighty God to whom
All creation sings
In Your time I am but an infant
Like a seed newly sown
Yet even before my beginning
By You I was known
Praise You for my salvation
I am made unlike other worldly things
Made to last eternally with You
Glory to God, this humble creation sings

Here I am Lord
Right where I belong
In a humble attempt to worship You
From my heart comes this song
It is of the way You called me
While I was mired in sin and lost
You whispered sweetly to me
I was reminded You paid the cost
In repentance I fell to my knees
At the foot of the cross where I belong
And words of glory, praise and love
Are all woven into this song
I am so unworthy of Your love
Yet You make me feel in Your arms I belong
In a humble attempt to thank and worship You
